    Instructor Details

    Matthew Resinger, PMHNP BC, FNP BC has dedicated more than two decades to improving behavioral health care for older adults across long term care and senior community settings. Double board certified in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice, he serves in a clinical leadership role within a large national health care organization, is adjunct faculty at Skills On Point, and previously worked as a hospitalist within a large teaching university environment. Through 25 years of clinical practice, he has worked extensively with behavioral escalation in older adults, often in high acuity and high-risk settings. His approach to de-escalation is practical, evidence informed and shaped by direct clinical experience. He has also served as a volunteer guardian for the Rhode Island Division of Elderly Affairs, reinforcing a practice focused on safety, dignity, and clinical judgment.
