Acute Care Skills Workshop


Prepare for the acute care environment with all the commonly privileged skills used during routine inpatient care in a critical environment such as the emergency department, intensive care, transport medicine, and more!

This 8-hour live course is open to all learners and experience levels, designed to give you the skills you need to be successful in the transition to your first role, a new role, or just as a refresher with fun hands-on continuing education with world-class simulation equipment! Includes 9 hours of online content through our Online CE Portal for lifetime access to supplemental content and lectures!

    This one-day course includes a broad assortment of inpatient skills commonly performed in the acute care environment and also includes a series of online courses to reinforce the learning.

    Course Includes:
    • Ultrasound Use
    • Point of Care Ultrasound
    • Ultrasound Guided IV and Arterial Line Insertion
    • Ultrasound Guided Central Venous Line Insertion
    • Ultrasound Guided Thoracentesis
    • Chest Tube Thoracostomy
    • Airway Management including Intubation and Ventilator Management

    Participants may add the elective night course of Laparoscopica Lab to this course. See full course listing for additional online continuing education content provided with this course.


    CE Hours

    Includes 17 ANCC-Approved contact hours (8.0 in person and 9.0 online). Skills on Point, LLC is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91)
